Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato's record label is a 'support system'

'Chains' sensation Nick Jonas has opened up about the label he has launched with longtime friend Demi Lovato.

The pair created Safehouse Records together back in May and he revealed to ADON magazine that it was a project they were both very enthusiastic about because they have extensive experience in music:

"Demi and I [have been] friends for a really long time, we have the same manager and we all talked about wanting to create an environment for artists when we can all create freely and feel protected by each other and by the people that we work with."

"So the idea was to launch Safehouse. It's a record label and publishing company."

He went onto add that both he and Lovato want to make the artist the most important factor in their label venture because creative control and artistic integrity are two of the most crucial things in establishing yourself in the music world:

"Our focus at Safehouse Records is to put artists in control of their art while providing them the best tools to manage their careers. The priority of the artist and the fact that Demi and I are artists and we understand the support system that artist need. Its exciting to do that and hopefully it will work out as we imagine it will."
