Nick Jonas says he is 'honoured' to play strong gay characters

Singer and actor Nick Jonas has opened up about playing the role of Boone on new TV series 'Scream Queens' and revealed that he is proud to be involved in the project.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the heartthrob admitted that he is honoured by the opportunities he gets and really enjoys playing 'strong gay characters'

"I’ve been so honoured to get to play some really strong gay characters."

"Whatever I can do for the community is just a blessing to me. For Boone in particular and this show as a whole, everything is not as it seems. So I would say get ready to get surprised by a lot of different things."

The co-creator of 'Scream Queens' Ryan Murphy recently confessed that Jonas' character will return to the show later in the season, but will look different: "Boone will return later this season but will look a little different. One of my favourite things is that he’s spying and traveling around the campus dressed incognito as Joaquin Phoenix.”
