Nick Jonas on new music: 'I want to be as transparent as possible'

'Chains' hitmaker Nick Jonas has opened up about his plans for his new solo album and admitted that he wants to be as 'transparent' as possible.

In a new interview with Phoenix magazine, the star confessed that the last 12 months have been a huge influence on his songwriting and that will be apparent when fans finally hear his forthcoming new album:

"The biggest inspiration has just been living life, it's been a crazy year - really great moments and some challenging moments. My goal has always been to be as transparent as possible and just share my heart and my music and what I've been going through. So it's been about diving in and being as open and honest as possible."

The heartthrob recently also told Spin magazine that he is especially excited for fans to check out the music video for 'Under You' because it boasts a special cameo that will surprise everyone:

"I got to work with Max Martin and his team on ‘Under You.’ We already shot a video for it that I’m incredibly anxious for people to see because there’s a really incredible guest star who just absolutely killed it. She looks amazing and had a huge acting role in this video.”
