Nick Jonas has revealed that his next record is nearly complete.

The singer has been busy working on the follow-up to his 2014 self-titled solo album.

He recently unveiled the lead track 'Levels' from his next effort and it seems progress is going well.

Speaking to Digital Spy at the weekend, Jonas said the finishing line is in sight.

He said: "I'm nearly done recording it.

"I'm anxious to finish it and get it out. It goes a bit deeper into the soul and R&B side of things.

"I tried to push myself a bit harder and continue to grow. I want people to challenge me and make me better. I'm so proud of this record."

Jonas added that there are no collaborations planned for his next record.

The singer meanwhile recently announced that he will be supporting Demi Lovato on her upcoming North America tour.
