Singer Nick Jonas has opened up about the creation of his highly anticipated new studio album, 'Last Year Was Complicated', in a new interview with Ryan Seacrest. 

Speaking to the radio host yesterday (March 25), Jonas admitted that the title of his record came about from a simple conversation with none other than Jay Z:

"He said, 'Just tell me about this year in your life and what it's been like.' I said, 'Last year was complicated,' and he was like, 'That's the title.'"

Jonas went onto talk about a different song from the album called 'Bacon':

"The concept of ["Bacon"] is that right after you get out of a relationship, I feel like there's a period where you either fall into depression or you say, 'Alright, I'm free, I can do whatever I want. Life is so good at the moment, you might as well throw some bacon on it because bacon makes everything better.'"
