Singer Nick Jonas has revealed that dating in the public eye is incredibly difficult and sometimes unpleasant. 

Speaking to Out magazine recently, the heartthrob explained that it's weird going into potentially romantic situations knowing that the person you're sitting across from will already have some kind of opinion on you based on how you've been perceived by the press:

"It definitely sucks. It sort of feels like, on top of dealing with the situation with the person, you have to be thinking about other people’s opinion about it, and without all the information."

Jonas, meanwhile, recently sat down for an interview with Ellen DeGeneres and explained that his split from Olivia Culpo (along with their relationship) inspired his upcoming new album: 

"With this one I made a real point to tell stories as honestly as I could. It became very clear what it was going to be about, after the breakup. [I] just dove in headfirst and wrote about all of it. [My time with Olivia was] the most meaningful relationship I’ve ever been in, and it was the longest."
