Nick Jonas on Jonas Brothers career: 'I was pretty controlling'

Heartthrob Nick Jonas has revealed that he was "controlling" during his time with the Jonas Brothers, but has finally learned how to take advice and direction from his creative team.

Speaking exclusively to Topman, the 'Chainsaw' sensation admitted that it's hard to give up control, but he has learned that it has positive effects on his creativity:

"I was pretty controlling at the time with the brothers, and even at the beginning of my solo stuff... But it was actually when I took a step back and gave up some control that I was creatively free to write a song that would redefine my career.”

Jonas also gave a piece of advice to aspiring artists and added: "Trust the people that you work with, and even if it doesn’t go the way you planned, there’s a lesson in there that can help you next time.”
