Nick Jonas: 'Jonas Brothers years come with a lot of regret'

'Chains' sensation Nick Jonas has revealed that looking back on his career with the Jonas Brothers is bittersweet because he feels a pang of regret over how things played out.

Jonas made the comments in a new docu-series for Tidal, which shares the same title as his upcoming new album 'Last Year Was Complicated'. He said:

"It comes with layers of complication. I don't know how else to put it. I feel, among friends, uncomfortable speaking about it. It makes me feel like I'm complaining."

"Towards the end, there was just so much bias towards the brothers and the band," he continued. "It's funny, it was meant to happen that it ended, but there were probably some family issues that needed to be sorted out... At some point, I need to be able to look at it with a positive angle because it does suck that my 13 to 20-year-old years come with a lot of regret, almost, in a way."

'Last Year Was Complicated' is due to be released on June 10. Back in June, the star told his followers that it's a pretty honest collection of songs: "When I first started making I thought I knew what it would be about... Then I had a breakup. It then became very clear what this thing would be about... And that I would need to dig really deep. Shit is too real sometimes... Reliving some of these real life experiences through this music is hard."
