Nick Jonas says his songwriting became 'deeper' after having sex

Nick Jonas has opened up on how his songwriting changed after he starting having sex.

The singer famously wore purity rings while part of the Jonas Brothers, but he no longer subscribes to that way of life.

Speaking to Wonderland, Jonas said his rise from teen popper to sex symbol has been "bizarre".

However, he revealed that his songwriting has become more "real" since he started having intimate relationships.

Jonas said "Sexuality is important, as an artist, to embrace and use it as ammunition in your creative life, and understanding that part of your life and how it makes you feel.

"Anytime I approach writing a song I think about that fact that since I started having sex, my creative life changed dramatically and my ability to write a song with more genuine depth, more reality."
