O2 today announces a brand-new partnership with No Signal, one of the UK’s leading black radio platforms, offering a suite of master classes available on the Priority app.

Breaking into the music industry can be no easy feat, especially in the middle of a global pandemic, which is why O2 and No Signal have teamed up to co-create a three-part masterclass series led by respected talents, including Broadcaster Julie Adenuga, Soul and R&B artist Jaz Karis and Producer iO.

No Signal, the runaway success story of lockdown, founded by brothers Jojo and David Sonubi from their bedrooms in March last year, now champions black music across 40 shows and over 100 hours of entertainment every week.

With O2’s rich history in music, the new partnership formed as a joint ambition to help uplift young creatives in music. The Priority X No Signal Masterclass campaign includes practical exercises on how to create your uniqiue creative identity, sharpen your music production skills and how to hone in on your music and performance skills.

Available on the Priority app, O2 customers can get access at an exclusive discounted rate of just £1 per master class (RRP £3). Non-O2 customers can also access the series via the No Signal website: https://www.theresnosignal.com/masterclass.

The Priority X No Signal Masterclass series launches today, with a new master class available each week:

  • 22nd February – ‘How to find your creative voice’ by Julie Adenuga
  • 1st March – ‘How to produce a hit’ by iO
  • 8th March – ‘How to write and perform a song’ by Jaz Karis

All proceeds raised will be donated back into the No Signal Broadcast Fund, set to ensure the community and its talented team can continue to raise their creative ambitions by helping to kit out their new studio.

Maya Murrell, Head of Priority and Membership Platforms at O2 said: “We’re really proud to be partnering with No Signal on this exciting campaign. Music is part of O2’s heritage and by creating these master classes we hope our customers and young talent will enjoy and find them helpful in further developing their creative ambitions.”

"We're really excited to finally launch Priority X No Signal Masterclass. These master classes are things we wish we had when we were younger, and we're happy to be able to help the next generation of cultural pioneers through the master classes and the funds that'll help kit out our Studio." – Tobi Kyeremateng and Huda Ahmed, No Signal Project Leaders

Priority is exclusive to O2 customers and brings a collection of invite-only moments to help them do more of the things they love. From exclusive treats and experiences, to early access to the most sought-after tickets in entertainment.

Customers can download the Priority app via the app store, or by texting PRIORITY to 2020. For more information, search Priority on O2.
