Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber storm to Number 1 with their new collaboration 'I Don’t Care', scoring an impressive 123,825 combined sales.

It’s only the second chart-topping single this year to open with more than 100,000 combined sales – Ariana Grande’s '7 Rings' debuted at the top with 126,240 in January.

'I Don’t Care' racked up 13 million streams and 22,000 downloads this week.

'I Don’t Care' extends Sheeran’s tally of Number 1s to six, and Bieber’s to seven, putting the Canadian on a par with the likes of Elton John, Kylie Minogue and U2, who all have seven UK chart-toppers.

Meanwhile, Lil Nas X’s 'Old Town Road' holds at 2, and last week’s Number 1, Stormzy’s 'Vossi Bop', slips to 3.

Production duo Europa – comprising of Jax Jones and Martin Solveig – edge closer to the Top 10 with 'All Day and Night ft. Madison Beer', lifting two spots to Number 11, and Skepta lands his eleventh Top 40 entry with 'Greaze Mode ft. Nafe Smallz' at Number 22. The track features on the rapper’s upcoming album 'Ignorance Is Bliss', out on May 31.

Further down, Ellie Goulding’s 'Sixteen' hops six places to a new peak at 25, James Arthur’s new single 'Falling Like The Stars' opens at Number 34, earning him an eleventh Top 40 hit, and 'Motorola' by Da Beatfreakz ft. Swarmz & Deno is new at 35.

Finally, Mark Ronson’s 'Late Night Feelings ft. Lykki Li' makes its first Top 40 appearance, leaping eight places to Number 39.
