TORONTO, ON (October 29, 2021) - Building on the overwhelming response to her new music, today breakout popstar noelle has released “Hope You’re Happy,” the final single ahead of the release of her upcoming album, coming early next year. Listen here: https://amzn.to/3EsUXjj

An empowering anthem for anyone who has walked away from a relationship that they knew just wasn’t right for them, the track’s upbeat melody puts noelle’s bold vocals on full display. “Hope You’re Happy” is available to stream everywhere now.

Written by noelle, Joel Stouffer, Geoff Warburton and Nathan Ferraro, “Hope You’re Happy” is one of the few songs on the upcoming album that came together outside of noelle’s bedroom. Gathering at a studio in Toronto, this group of talented songwriters came together to create a track that flips the script on the typical sad break-up song narrative.

"’Hope You're Happy’ was a really unique song for me to write. I’m so passionate about creating sad ballads about love but I wanted this one to be more powerful for the listener. We’ve all been faced with the situation of seeing someone we loved with a new person and while we want to take the high road, sometimes vengeance is the real emotion that stirs within us.” - noelle

Also out today is the track’s official video. Embracing the power that one can find amidst a broken heart, the video showcases a new, dramatic side of noelle. With the track’s lyrics bringing her raw, emotional storytelling to life, the dark visuals found in the official video mimic the depths of heartbreak. “Shooting this video allowed me to stand in my power, thinking about every person who has had to walk away from a relationship that wasn’t working for them. To me, smashing that mirror signifies the destruction of what was and a return to yourself, finally letting go of the person who was holding you back.”

Raised on the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory in Ontario, noelle’s upbringing exposed her to a vast range of musical genres, from Nat King Cole and Sarah Vaughan to the powwow drum and native wind flute of her Indigenous roots. At just 20 years old, noelle has been singing since she was barely old enough to walk. Initially finding her footing through YouTube, noelle amassed a following of 94K+ subscribers resulting from her viral covers of timeless classics and today’s biggest acts. Expressing her thoughts and emotions at her piano, noelle began writing her own music as a therapeutic form of self-expression. The artists whose words she once personalized through her covers, soon became the major influences behind her own music.

Co-signed to Wax Records and Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company, noelle was recently chosen as part of the Spotify RADAR program, which looks to support and grow notable, up-and-coming Canadian artists on the platform. noelle will be releasing her debut album in early 2022.
