'Story Of My Life' superstar Liam Payne is currently soaking up the sun on holiday and revealed that while he's away from the spotlight for a little while he is still making a point of turning on the radio. 

Prior to the beginning of One Direction's upcoming tour, member Payne decided to take a vacation and tweeted a message to let his fans know that he's enjoying his downtime. He accompanied the brief update with an entertaining photo of himself holding a pair of shells to his chest, which can be seen below. 

He wrote: "Hello mr @scott_mills listenin' to you far away on holiday thank you for providing the soundtrack to our beach view."

Upon seeing his message, Radio 1's Scott Mills replied publicly and admitted he was glad that he tuned into the show: "@Real_Liam_Payne hello there captain Payne. That's a lovely shot. Glad you're still listening :)"

One Direction's American tour is due to kick off in August, but the lads will bring their 'Where We Are' run of dates to the UK in May and are set to perform at Dublin's Croke Park on May 23 before taking the show to Manchester, London, and Sunderland. 

It was also revealed earlier this week that Payne has finally passed his driving test.
