Doncaster Rovers enjoy big sales increase ahead of Louis Tomlinson match

Doncaster Rovers have revealed that ticket sales for their upcoming reserves match featuring Louis Tomlinson are about 40 times greater than usual.

The One Direction singer is due to turn out for the B-side tonight (February 26) at the Keepmoat Stadium against Rotherham Reserves.

He is taking to the pitch to raise money for children's hospice Bluebell Wood.

Doncaster Rovers spokesman Steve Uttley have confirmed that sales for the match are predictably a lot higher than their usual reserves games.

He said: "We've sold more than 4,000 tickets. The usual turnout for a match like this would be about 100."

Uttley added that there would be a "full match-day complement" of stewards to cope with the crowd.

Tomlinson meanwhile played in a charity football match last year in Scotland, but he was taken off injured and subsequently threw up on the sidelines.
