One Direction to write songs for 5 Seconds of Summer and Neon Jungle

Members of One Direction look set to flex their songwriting muscles for 5 Seconds of Summer and Neon Jungle in the near future.

The lads have a number of writing credits on their three albums and Liam Payne recently said in an interview that he and Louis Tomlinson have a writing partnership.

It seems the band are set to plough on with writing tunes for other bands, with 5 Seconds of Summer's Calum Hood telling the Daily Star about Niall Horan:

"We found our common ground was Busted. So there’s a few pop rock ideas kicking around already. We’d love to make it happen.”

Neon Jungle's Amira McCarthy meanwhile said: "Liam Payne knew who we were and said he was listening to our song in the car. He said that he’d really like to write for us, so we’re waiting for the song.”

It was reported recently that Payne and Tomlinson are the richest members of One Direction as a result of gaining royalties from writing credits.
