One Direction want to release a new album every year

One Direction have revealed their desire to keep releasing an album a year.

The lads' first record came in the shape of 2011's 'Up All Night' and they have released another two albums - 'Take Me Home' and 'Midnight Memories' - since then.

It seems they are keen to keep up this frenetic pace for the foreseeable future, with Liam Payne telling The Sun:

"We want to release an album every year - year after year."

The singer added that they will be using a mobile recording unit to cut tracks to tape:

"It used to be an old Mi5 van. It's where they recorded people during interrogation."

One Direction meanwhile are currently in South America on their Where We Are world stadium tour, with their next date due to take place in Chile on April 30.
