One Direction laud "fantastic" Gary Barlow documentary

One Direction have heaped praise on a new documentary about Gary Barlow.

The Take That singer was the subject of BBC show When Corden Met Barlow, which aired in the UK on Monday (May 5).

The programme's blurb reads: "James Corden and Gary Barlow head out on a road trip for this documentary, as James gets up close and personal with the man behind the music of his youth and discusses Gary's meteoric pop comeback."

The documentary seems to have hit the One Direction lads strongly, with Harry Styles tweeting on Monday:

"When Corden Met Barlow BBC1 9pm tonight. Four lovely men are involved and it's very good. And someone's 'end-card cherry' gets popped."

Niall Horan added: "Congrats to @Fulwell73 @benwinston @GaryBarlow @jkcorden on a fantastic documentary! Really enjoyed it ! #whencordenmetbarlow."

Barlow himself meanwhile thanked those who tuned in, saying: "Thank you so much to everyone who watched #whencordenmetbarlow #bbc1."
