A behind the scenes look at One Direction's recent Radio 1 Big Weekend gig has been uploaded online.

The BBC recorded the British-Irish boyband as they prepared to take to the stage at the massive Glasgow event.

The programme has now been added to the online iPlayer catalogue and it can be viewed in the UK.

There is also interview content with Radio 1's Scott Mills and the band touch on a number of subjects.

Liam Payne opened up about the perils of drunk tweeting, saying:

"I have a few drunken rants sometimes on Twitter...Yeah they are quite deep, sometimes I go in hard, it's not good. Then I wake the next morning and it's like - ahhh, old news."

One Direction meanwhile performed at the Big Weekend in the midst of their European stadium tour, which saw the group play Sunderland on Wednesday (May 28).
