Louis Tomlinson's mother reveals pride after he buys Doncaster Rovers football team

Earlier today (June 19), it was confirmed that One Direction's Louis Tomlinson has officially purchased the football team Doncaster Rovers and is now a co-owner of the club with former chairman John Ryan.

This afternoon, the heartthrob's mother Johannah told her followers that she's very proud of him for chasing his dreams and making them a reality: "Today is a proud day for me. I've believed in him since day one & having his wishes come true is just what he deserves."

The young superstar has also launched a crowd-funded project called the Tomlinson Ryan Trust, which is aiming to raise a total of £2 million and will enable fans to buy into the club and receive rewards in return.

Speaking about the project, Tomlinson said: "For me, this is all about the football, the community and restoring the excitement and desire to making Doncaster Rovers the most exciting club to play for in Yorkshire. I grew up in Doncaster and have felt the love for football run through the town, it's for that reason that I have a real personal passion to make Doncaster Rovers a success story. I want to see the Doncaster Rovers' supporters get the club the success it deserves."
