Liam Payne in Twitter monologue: 'We are the luckiest guys in the world'

One Direction star Liam Payne has taken to Twitter to reach out to his fans.

The singer took to the social networking website today (September 29) to post a monologue of thoughts.

He started off by slagging off internet speak terms such as 'bae', saying:

"I feel so old with all these sayings like "ship" bae and "no chill" can't keep up with the times when I was a kid saying bro was cool lol."

Payne continued: "Hope people don't find me annoying on here that would b the worst just wanna make a few people smile. And I'm bored as hell on this plane. And I know people have read a lot about me the past few days promise I'm just a young lad travelling the world having fun with his friends.

"I never mean any harm just want to have a some laughs and hopefully a few people enjoy it along the way. I feel like you all know me better than that anyway but just wanted to let you know when I vent sometimes I'm just trying to stay genuine...And b myself thank you all for everythin an standing by us we really are the luckiest guys in the world to be doing what we love for people like you guys who appreciate it so much."

The singer concluded before posting a picture of a sleeping mate with whiskers drawn on his face:

"Sorry for getting sentimental just had a moment of realisation of where I actually am then I looked down and my friend is a cat lol."
