One Direction's Liam Payne on missing education: 'This has been like our kind of uni'

Liam Payne believes being in One Direction has filled the gap somewhat in the five singers' education.

The boyband found fame as teenagers on the 2010 series of the X Factor - and this meant that they had to abolish any dreams of going on to study at university.

Speaking in a new interview with BBC Breakfast, Liam Payne said that getting to grips with fame and travelling the world has been like university in a way.

He said: "I think we just got to live it in a different way really. If we have come out of school or college, we would have gone to uni, but this has been like our little kind of uni."

Payne added: "f I had to choose between the two, I'd do this every single time."

One Direction meanwhile will release new album 'FOUR' on November 17.
