One Direction: 'Our new album is a natural progression for us, it all just flowed'

Boyband One Direction will release their highly anticipated new album later this month and they have revealed that the sound and style is a 'natural progression' from their last full-length offering.

During a new interview with Cat and Nelly from Free Radio, the boys opened up about their new album 'FOUR' and member Harry Styles explained that it came about really organically:

"I think it's just a natural progression from the last album. We've done a lot more things, we've been on the road more and we've all had stuff going on, and it's kind of a collection of that [...] I think the best songs are the ones that just flow out and aren't too put together."

Liam Payne went onto add that the songwriting process was very collaborative and they were all heavily involved in everything that went into each song on the record:

"You sit in a room and get a good vibe going with the musicians or whatever, and you start to pick out a melody. Then we all draft out topics and what we want to talk about, and it gets personal. I love it. You get to sit in a room, have fun with your mates, and then come out with something great. We do mess about the whole time, but we come out with something productive!"
