One Direction's 'FOUR' expected to sell over 400,000 copies in US

One Direction are set to sell over 400,000 copies of their new album in the States.

The boyband recently unveiled their fourth record 'FOUR' and Billboard have confirmed that it is estimated to shift over 400k in the US in its first week and reach No.1.

This means that it would have the second biggest first sales week of 2014 behind Taylor Swift's recent effort '1989', which sold nearly 1.3m units.

The figure, however, represents a downward turn for One Direction in terms of US album sales.

Their previous effort - 2013's 'Midnight Memories' - sold 546,000 copies in its first week.
