One Direction's Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne have been pictured in the studio with some famous faces.

The duo were snapped alongside Nickelback's Chad Kroeger and former Daughtry drummer Robin Diaz.

A series of photos were uploaded to Diaz's Instagram on Thursday (January 29) that showed the musicians together in a recording studio.

They see Tomlinson and Payne hanging around a drum kit, with Diaz writing:

"Probably the best Singers I've worked with!!!! @fakeliampayne @louist91 of @onedirection Chad just taught them how to play drums. No lie!!!"

Payne meanwhile was earlier this week pictured with rapper Juicy J in a studio.

One Direction's last album 'FOUR' was released in late 2014.
