One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has signed up to play in an upcoming Doncaster Rovers testimonial match.

The football club is paying tribute to long-serving player James Coppinger with a fundraising match at their Keepmoat Stadium on April 19.

It has been confirmed that singer Tomlinson, who has turned out for the team in the past, will take to the pitch.

The One Direction man has previously played for the Doncaster Rovers reserves side to raise money for charity.

He was also part of a failed takeover bid last year.
