One Direction return home to kickstart album writing sessions: 'Wish us luck!'

Boyband One Direction have just finished the latest leg of their On The Road Again tour and have now returned home to write music for their highly anticipated new record.

Heartthrob Louis Tomlinson took to his official Twitter page this afternoon (April 6) and told his followers that while he'll miss performing live, he is really excited to continue working on the group's upcoming new album, which will be their first as a four-piece:

"This leg of the tour really has been amazing!! Looking forward to start working on the new record but gonna miss the shows big time!!! Gonna order a fat dominos when I get home!! Been toooo long."

Yesterday, Liam Payne posted a message on his social media page about the end of the current leg of the tour and he wrote: "Now in home I just wanna thank everyone for an amazing start to the tour now it's album writing time then back to it! Wish us luck."

The band's On The Road Again tour, which recently topped a poll of the highest grossing tours around, will resume with a concert in Cardiff at the Millennium Stadium on June 5, but the boys will enjoy a well-deserved break until then
