One Direction to be joined by special guest at upcoming concert

The recently slimmed-down One Direction have revealed that they will be a five-piece band once again when they will be joined by a guest performer live on stage.

After recently serving as a caddie to sports star Rory McIlroy, Niall Horan has convinced the golfer to get up on stage alongside him and his band mates during one of their On The Road Again tour dates.

Rory McIlroy will give a one-off performance alongside Niall, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson on September 12 at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Talking to The Sun about the arrangement, Niall said:

“He’s allowed to pick the song, that was part of the deal.”

Horan added: “If I went on the bag with him he would come on stage and sing with us. Apparently he’s terrible.”

The ‘Kiss You’ pop star described being the Northern Irish golf pro’s caddie as an “incredible experience”.

One Direction became a quartet after Zayn Malik decided to leave the group back in March.
