1D's Louis Tomlinson sets up his own record label: 'I've wanted this for a long time'

One Direction heartthrob Louis Tomlinson has revealed that he will be setting up and launching his very own record label.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun newspaper, the 'Story Of My Life' sensation explained that he is very excited about this new business venture and he's looking forward to taking on a new role:

"This is something I've wanted to do for some time. To be given the opportunity to potentially give new artists a platform is an incredible feeling. I hope to sign some really exciting new artists down the line."

Tomlinson has already signed his first act, UK 'X Factor' finalist Jack Walton, and it is reported that he will hold auditions for a new girl band during his down time from One Direction's current world tour. His label is backed by Sony and is an imprint of One Direction mentor Simon Cowell's famed Syco label. The hashtag '#proudofLouis' is currently in the Top 10 trending topics list on Twitter.
