One Direction have played dodgeball in a skit for James Corden's US TV show.

The British-Irish boyband appeared on the media man's Late Late Show on Thursday (May 14).

Among the features was a lengthy section that saw the band join Corden to play a game of dodgeball.

The TV host played the role of player-coach as he fired up the quartet ahead of a game against a team of women.

The men didn't fare too well, however, eventually losing.

Among the highlights during the game was Harry Styles getting hit in the testicles with a ball.

One Direction meanwhile during the show addressed the departure of Zayn Malik from the band.
