One Direction: 'We're not cool enough to perform at Glastonbury'

Some members of boyband One Direction were recently spotted enjoying the live music at this year's Glastonbury Festival, but member Niall Horan is doubtful that they'll ever get asked to play because they don't really fit the demographic.

Speaking to The Mirror, the Irish singer explained that his band isn't considered "cool enough" for a slot at the musical event, but it doesn't matter because they can still go as fans and watch other bands perform there:

'We're not cool enough to play at Glastonbury. It's so cool, we had loads of fun. We were there for a day but we had to leave at 1am because we had a gig, but we're going back next year for sure. It's great that we get to come back home after every concert on the European tour."

Horan added: ''We have time to be in London a bit. But we're off to America now to start the tour there. It's exciting."

The heartthrobs will resume their extensive On The Road Again tour on July 9 at the Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California. They have teamed up with Honda for this run, which is going to be known as the Honda Civic Tour.

Niall Horan said in a statement: "We're so excited about heading out on tour in the US in July and are really thrilled to be part of the Honda Civic Tour. It's going to be our best tour yet and we can't wait to see our incredible fans!"
