Simon Cowell has big plans for 1D's 'last performance' together

Simon Cowell has revealed that he wants One Direction to perform live on the 'X Factor' finale before they go on hiatus.

The lads recently confirmed details of a temporary split that will begin in 2016 and music mogul Cowell has now admitted to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper that he has big plans for their last performance together before the split:

"I would like their last performance before their break to be the X Factor final, 100 per cent. I think they will come on the final of X Factor this year."

Cowell also told media at the 'X Factor' launch that everyone was a little worried when Zayn Malik quit the band, but he's so proud of the remaining 1D lads and how they handled it all:

"I was nervous for the lads because they were in the middle of a tour when it happened, I thought it was a bombshell. What was amazing was how they stuck together as a four, no complaining and just got on with it. When you see them in their latest music video or on tour now, you kind of think, 'OK, I miss Zayn but they are still amazing together'."
