One Direction's new single has rocketed to No.1 in numerous countries across the world.

The group released the track 'Perfect' today (October 16) as the second song from their upcoming fifth album 'Made In The A.M.'.

At the time of writing, the single is No.1 on iTunes charts in both the UK and the US.

It has also topped iTunes lists in countries such as Australia, Sweden and Brazil.

The video meanwhile for 'Perfect' will be released online next week.

The clip was shot at the massive Intercontinental Hotel in New York and it was directed by Sophie Muller.

'Made In The A.M.' will be released on November 13.
