Niall Horan on love gossip: 'It's going to wreck your head'

One Direction star Niall Horan says he has learned to avoid reading stories about his love life.

The singer is currently single, but he is regularly the subject of romance speculation in the media.

Speaking on ITV's Lorraine this morning (October 19), the Irishman said he doesn't take in any of the gossip because he thinks it would begin to play with his mind.

Horan said: "You have to kind of get over it, if you keep reading all those stories it's just going to wreck your head but like you know whatever, you can have friends, we're all allowed to have friends."

Bandmate Harry Styles meanwhile said that he has also learned to realise which women are interested in him for fame:

"I think people who would approach someone in that way for the wrong reasons are usually quite transparent.

"I think it's pretty easy to tell what someone's intentions are."

One Direction meanwhile will release their fifth album 'Made in the A.M.' on November 13.
