One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson left a TV audience shocked after reportedly throwing his phone across the stage during an interview.

The boyband will appear on the pre-recorded Alan Carr: Chatty Man on Friday (December 11).

However, the Daily Star report that Tomlinson got annoyed when a ringtone went off during the interview.

He said 'Is it me that is ringing?' before throwing his mobile across the stage.

Tomlinson then said: "It will be my mum and she will be really embarrassing. It was already cracked."

One Direction also declined an invitation from host Carr to take part in a dance-off.

Harry Styles said: "None of us are dancers. It wouldn’t make sense for us to dance."

The band will feature on Alan Carr: Chatty Man on Channel 4 in the UK at 10pm.
