1D's Niall Horan adds to tributes for Eagles founder Glenn Frey

One Direction star Niall Horan has joined a host of music stars in paying tribute to late Eagles founder Glenn Frey.

The US star passed away on Monday (January 19) aged 67.

The musician died of complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia.

Horan took to Instagram to say: "Very sad to hear of the passing of one of my favourites of all time.

"A man I had the pleasure of meeting and a man I had the honour of listening to all my life."

His bandmate Harry Styles meanwhile previously posted on Twitter: "One of the greatest ever. He will be missed by so many. Rest in love and peace Mr. Frey."

A number of other big names also paid tribute to Frey, including the likes of Brian May, Brian Wilson and Brad Paisley.

Frey is the latest music icon to pass away in the last few weeks, following on from Lemmy Kilmister and David Bowie.
