One Direction star Niall Horan will host a private charity golf event in May.

The singer will team up with golfer Justin Rose to host the Horan & Rose Gala.

It will take place on May 29 with a gala dinner at a secret location in London held on the first day.

Olly Murs is scheduled to perform, while Kirsty Gallacher and Gabby Logan will help present the charity event.

A pro-am golf event will then take place for attendees on the following day.

Horan commented: "I’m thrilled to team up with Justin to host our first Horan & Rose Gala event.

"It’ll be great to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK Kids and Teens, a charity I feel very strongly about.

‘As a golf fanatic teaming up with Justin, a major winner, Ryder Cup hero and a great friend, is just so exciting. I can’t wait for this two day event."

Horan meanwhile is also scheduled to take part in the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-am in Wentworth.

He will play alongside Rose at the event on May 25.
