One Direction's Niall Horan has joined a new boyband

One Direction star Niall Horan has joined a new boyband - One Lad and Two Dads.

Comedian John Bishop joked about the 'pop group' after meeting Horan ahead of this year's Soccer Aid charity football match.

Also involved in the made-up boyband is TV presenter Paddy McGuinness.

Tweeting a picture of the trio, Bishop wrote: "New boy band - me @NiallOfficial and @PaddyMcGuinness - we are called One Lad and 2 Dads."

This year's Soccer Aid game will take place at Manchester's Old Trafford stadium on Sunday (June 5).

Among the celebrities due to take part are Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Olly Murs and Jake Whitehall.

A host of ex-footballers will also take to the pitch.
