One Direction star Louis Tomlinson will appear as a guest judge on the new series of America's Got Talent.

The singer will appear alongside regular judges Simon Cowell, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel during the Judge Cuts episodes.

Also acting as guest judges will be Reba McEntire, Ne-Yo & George Lopez.

The Judge Cuts episodes will air on NBC from July 12.

They will see one celebrity added to the panel as a fifth judge, and they will team-up with with someone else.

Tomlinson has regularly been linked with landing a full-time judging role on the UK X Factor.

It is expected that he will assist label boss Simon Cowell on the America's Got Talent panel.

The singer previously helped the Syco man during the X Factor's judge's houses stage in 2015.
