Some of the members of One Direction have taken to social media to thank fans for their phenomenal support over the past six years. 

Niall Horan celebrated 1D's sixth anniversary with a tweet that read: 6 years, wow! As Louis touched in his message, each one of you have played in a part in changing lives. You are the best fans in the world as you know... Thank you so much for everything so far."

Harry Styles added: "Six years. I have no idea how to say thank you for all your support. For everything you are, and everything you've done, thank you. H."

Louis Tomlinson shared a video message with his followers and said: "I just wanted to film a little message to say thank you because you guys are incredible. Your continued support is remarkable, really, and every single one of you had a hand in changing our lives. I hope you're as proud as we are."

All the lads, at the moment, are pursuing individual projects. Harry Styles will star in a highly anticipated new film called 'Dunkirk', Niall Horan is indulging his passion for golf, Louis Tomlinson is spending time with his son Freddie while dabbling in TV guest appearances, and Liam Payne recently signed a solo deal with Capitol Records in the UK.
