Harry Styles' flying instructor dies in tragic plane crash

A pilot who gave Harry Styles flying lessons just last year has died in a crash.

Nick Jefferies passed away alongside passenger Scott Penlington on Sunday (September 18) when their plane fell 500ft into a field in Wales.

Styles was a close family friend of Jefferies, who came from the same village in Cheshire, and he was given lessons by the pilot last year.

The One Direction man also took his daughter Emilie to his year 11 prom soon before he took part in the X Factor.

Police confirmed that Jefferies and his passenger died instantly.

A spokesman for the Air Accidents Investigations Branch added: "We will be examining the aircraft and compiling a report for the coroner."
