Niall Horan flew from US to UK and back to be with Louis Tomlinson

Niall Horan says he flew from America to the UK and back to be with his One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson at the X Factor at the weekend.

The singer performed his new Steve Aoki collaboration 'Just Hold On' on the show just days after his mum Johannah passed away at the age of 43 after a battle with leukemia. It was reported that the four members of One Direction were in attendance.

Speaking to reporters at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball in Washington DC on Sunday (December 12), Horan said he made a flying visit to London to give his support for Tomlinson. He said:

"Yeah, I flew home for…I was in the UK for twenty hours. For a very good reason."
