One Direction on course to score their 2nd No.1 single

One Direction's new single 'Gotta Be You' has shot straight into the UK singles chart at No.1 during this afternoon's midweek update.

If they hold the position until Sunday, November 20, when the positions are confirmed this will mark the boys' second No.1 single of their careers and the Official Charts Company explained they are "stealing an early lead over last week’s chart topper", Rihanna.

Rihanna and Calvin Harris' collaborative single, 'We Found Love', has now dropped to No.2, Flo Rida's new offering 'Good Feeling' is at No.3 and The Saturdays' 'My Heart Takes Over' has made an appearance at No.12.

Westlife's self-confirmed final single, 'Lighthouse', has entered the chart at No.20 and Lady Gaga's 'Marry The Night' currently at No.25, but is expected to climb following her performance at tomorrow night's (November 17) Children In Need Rocks concert.
