One Direction reveal US schedule is taking its toll

One Direction have revealed that their gruelling US schedule has started to take its toll.

The 2010 X-Factor finalists, who are set to become the first ever UK act to enter at the Billboard 200 number one spot with their debut album next week, told the Daily Mirror that their hectic promo duties has resulted in both illness and homesickness.

Harry Styles confessed: “I get ill all the time – it’s all the travelling and long distance flights. Four of us had to have vitamin jabs because we were run down. I had mine in my bum. I do get homesick, too.”

Niall agreed with his bandmate, adding: “This is the longest we’ve ever been away from home and it’s hard. We miss our families, we miss our friends. We get homesick, massively so.”

Liam then admitted that he sometimes wishes he could step off the One Direction treadmill: “There’s a part of me that occasionally wants to go back to Wolverhampton and just chill out, play the field, be normal again. Just chill out.

“It’s a Catch 22 situation, I guess... I am looking forward to having some time off though, and my girlfriend keeps telling me that we need to get away, go abroad somewhere, just to get away from everything. We’ll see...”
