One Direction dismiss comparisons with The Beatles

One Direction have revealed that they don’t take the comparisons with The Beatles very seriously.

The ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ boyband, who are currently on tour in New Zealand, told Newstalk ZB that they are under no illusion that their recent achievements are on a par with the success of the Fab Four.

Harry Styles said: "Whenever anyone brings up The Beatles it's always something we dismiss just because they are a whole other level.

“They are in our opinion the biggest boy band that will ever be."

The 18-year-old, who recently revealed that the group would fight over the same girl, also claimed that it’s vital that they keep their focus on the music above everything else:

"The moment that we get complacent and say 'the music doesn't really matter because they like us' I think that's where it starts going downhill, so for us it's important we make sure the music gets better and better along with us."
