One Direction tease "special" U.S. video project, call for fans to get involved

Boyband One Direction have teased details of an exciting new project that calls for the help of their fans all over the world.

A representative for the 'What Makes You Beautiful' stars took over their official Twitter account earlier this evening (June 12) and told their 4.3 million followers that something "special" is about to take place and they can get involved by using a certain hashtag:

"We will be filming some special video content with the boys whilst they are over in the US... And will be asking them a selection of your best questions! Tweet us with the hashtag #Ask1D 1DHQ x"

The lads will perform at San Jose's Events Centre tomorrow night (June 13) before they move on to Oakland in California on June 14.

Last night, member Niall Horan shared an update with his fans and told them he has been particularly enjoying the weather stateside: "Chillin today..gettin some lunch..gettin out into the beautiful american weather!"
