One Direction record new song, are full of praise for "amazing woman" Katy Perry

The guys from One Direction are still in America on their headlining tour, but are currently in the studio laying down vocals on a brand new track.

Member Niall Horan revealed that the lads were about to record parts for a new song and he took to social networking site Twitter (June 21) to tell his 4.1 million followers the news: "Recording one of the songs we wrote today! Excited!"

Earlier today, the 'One Thing' heartthrobs ventured to the cinema to watch Katy Perry's debut concert film, 'Part Of Me', and recommended it to their fans, telling them the 'Teenage Dream' beauty is an "amazing woman".

Louis Tomlinson tweeted: "Watching the @katyperry movie. Wow , what an amazing woman. True talent!"

Singer Liam Payne then added: "Just watched katy perrys film amazing film, she works soooo hard amazing well buzzed for today now :) congatuwelldone katy xx"

One Direction's next stateside concert will take place on June 23 at the Gexa Pavilion in Dallas, Texas.
