Louis Tomlinson’s mother reveals Busted inspired One Direction star’s career
The mother of One Direction’s Louis has revealed how punk-pop boyband Busted inspired her son to pursue a career in music.
Speaking to Sugarscape, Johanna Tomlinson said the 20-year-old realised he wanted to become a singer following a school concert rendition of Charlie, Matt and James’ most famous hit:
"In year six they did a talent competition for Red Nose Day so Louis formed a band with some friends. He was playing a red inflatable guitar, had his hair dyed red and sang Busted's Year 3000.
“A few people told me how much they enjoyed him singing. He got the bug I think”
Johanna then added that evidence of the performance exists: “The school still have it somewhere; they're trying to find it."
