One Direction have returned home to the UK after a triumphant headline tour of North America.

The British boys have been out across the pond on their first ever headline jaunt around North America and today (July 3) the band returned to home soil.

Niall Horan didn't take too long to take to social networking website Twitter after landing, posting photos of plaques he has received in commemoration of the band's success. He tweeted:

"Just got home! Some of my plaques are on the walls, this is what you guys do! Goosebumps! #bestfans. unbelievable what you guys have done for us! When i walked up the stairs and seen all them, first thing i thought was, #bestfansintheworld."

He also tweeted about his love of TV's The Jeremy Kyle Show, saying:

"Cant wait t go home and watch jeremy kyle! #jezzayou'vebeenmissed."
