One Direction's Niall Horan apologises for "shower of c***s" remark

One Direction star Niall Horan has apologised after calling a group of fans a "shower of c***s".

As previously reported, video footage recently emerged of the Irishman walking through Dublin Airport.

Horan is reported to have called a group of waiting fans a "shower of c***s" - leading to some people questioning the singer's use of language.

However, a number of Irish fans clarified the saying, confirming that it is generally just a bit of good natured banter.

Horan took to Twitter today (July 6) to confirm that no malice was meant by the remark - but he apologised for using a profane word. He said:

"Really sorry if I caused any offence. It was just banter with fans who I think of more as mates."

He continued: "But I understand that it's not a word I should be using at all."
