After a morning of One Direction engagement rumours another one has rocked the group's online community.

An Instagram account, claiming to be that of member Liam Payne, posted a photograph several days ago (pictured left) of the heartthrob holding hands with his girlfriend Danielle Peazer and was shared along with an intruiging caption that read:

"I'm her's and she's mine forever. {big news coming up} :)."

Although the account hasn't been officially verified and may not even belong to Payne, speculation began to grow and rumours of the pair's engagement hit the web.

A spokesperson for One Direction has now (July 11) confirmed to E! News that the news is "completely untrue".

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' star is yet to comment on the story, but took to social networking site Twitter earlier this morning and wrote: "6am already had 3 bowls of frosties."
